About Us
We are Frank, Els and Mayté.
We left Flanders and our successful motorbike business in 1999 for a breathtaking Andalusia. Mayté was only 3 weeks old.
The first 3 years we rented out our yacht at Fuengirola in the Costa del Sol. It soon seemed too crowded for us and decided to find a tranquil place, away of mass tourism. We looked for a place within 1 hour driving distance of the Málaga airport and about 30 min. from the coast.
After about 6 months, we finally found our little paradise in Alcaucín, a small village in the mountains, east to Málaga.
Frank is in charge of the maintenance of the pool, garden, quad trips and other activities, while Els is in charge of the reservations, the rooms and breakfast. Mayté is always happy to meet new people. She speaks English quite fluently and it takes her only 5 minutes to make new friends. She loves horse riding in the children’s friendly manège where our guests are also very welcome. She spends the rest of the time in and around the pool or the trampoline.
Together we are at your service to help you with any advice you may need. There are loads of trips you can make within one hour driving distance.
As we ourselves are real gourmets, we can recommend you the best restaurants and tapa-bars. We can also organize a BBQ or paella-evening for you.
Frank often opens his little bar next to the pool where you can enjoy a refreshing Mojito or any other cocktail. Meanwhile, he will test your knowledge on all the Classic Rock Music.
